HXK Cultural Centrе has more than 40 years of history and is a well-known hub for culture and arts in the city of Burgas' downtown. In 2019, reconstruction began and transformed the center into a modern and functional art space.

The challenge was to design a complete wayfinding system in line with the new branding and at the same time to remain coherent with the already familiar environment of the center. Another challenge was to update the logo to a more modern and Bulgarian Cyrillic form and to bring together a series of diverse elements. To do that, an iconography system and informational grids were developed that are easy to scale, group, and unify. The pictograms and pattern are based on a preserved exterior bas-relief, part of the original building made in 1975.
